Their academic interests center on how Corporate Governance frameworks can evolve to meet global sustainability targets while maintaining financial integrity. Shahnewaj’s work critically examines the effectiveness of public policy in incentivizing carbon accountability and the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors into standard Financial Accounting systems. They are committed to developing evidence-based insights that help policymakers and business leaders navigate the transition to a low-carbon economy.
